Chamfer Mill

Carbide chamfer mills for ferrous edge-break callouts after drill/ream—not fastener seats.

Deburr angles on steel

0.2×45° edge breaks after drill and ream

Most ferrous prints just want a clean edge break—not a screw-head seat. Chamfer mills handle those deburr angles on steel and stainless after holemaking. Fastener seats use the countersink URL; aluminum hole mouths with PCD use PCD chamfer/spotface.

Aka: chamfer cutter—same deburr-angle intent.

Carbide chamfer mill for steel edge break
Edge-break chamfering after ferrous drilling/reaming.

Typical edge-break callouts

  • 0.1–0.5 mm × 45° (or similar) on hole mouths
  • Plate edge breaks without fastener symbols
  • Pocket lip deburr after milling

Deburr RFQ fields

  1. Material grade
  2. Angle and land size
  3. Which edges (list them)
  4. Burr photos if replacing a failing tool

Use countersink—different acceptance criteria.

Aluminum hole mouths with PCD?
