Use this series when stick-out, wandering, and mid-depth breakage already show that length-to-diameter—not the next catalog size—is the limiter.
Shop pattern: the shallow pilot looks fine, then the long section walks, rubs, or snaps. Peck cycles and coolant strategy are already on the table. Send measured finished depth with the RFQ; do not invent an L:D cutoff from marketing copy.

- Finished depth or L:D is the primary process risk on the print
