Use staggered flutes when cut width, chip load, or harmonic patterns on aluminum make evenly spaced flutes the wrong default—not as a synonym for every PCD mill.
Shop scenario: a wide slot or shoulder leaves curled chips packing, or finish shows a repeating chatter signature. Staggered series is the chip-control / pitch conversation. If the real issue is undercut T-geometry, switch to T-slot; if it is only helix entry on a narrow wall, try helical.

- You can state width and depth of cut from the process
- Current equal-pitch tool leaves marks or packs chips
