What to send (unified checklist)

Use this short block for any custom tool RFQ. Then open the specialist field list for your tool family—so quotation is not delayed by missing Si%, depth ×D, coolant or runout notes.

Drawing & feature

  • Component print (PDF/STEP as available)
  • Hole / bore diameters, tolerances, depth or L/D
  • Through vs blind, steps, interruptions

Material & process

  • Alloy / hardness / Si% if aluminum
  • Machine, holder, assembled runout, stickout
  • Coolant: flood / through-coolant / MQL + pressure notes

Evidence & volume

  • Current tool, failure mode, chip/tool photos
  • Current speed/feed if known (starting refs only)
  • Annual or batch volume, sample intent, label/NDA needs
