Hydraulic Valve Body Machining — Spool, Cavities, RFQ

Hydraulic valve body work is a hole-pattern problem: spool bores, cartridge cavities, and related ports need matched drill/ream or step geometry, tight runout, and a clear allowance plan. XRZ routes those features to PCD reamers and step/form tools where the drawing and material justify them, then quotes from your valve-body print. Spool-bore finishing depth lives on Hydraulic Spool Bore Finishing; this page keeps the full valve-body path and RFQ. Send the print via Custom Cutting Tool RFQ. Send Your Drawing (valve-body print · hole chart · critical spool/cavity marked) The best ending is not one reamer for the whole valve body. It is a feature map we both read the same way—spool vs cavity marked—and someone still answering when first-off talks back. Spool finishing depth stays on Hydraulic Spool Bore Finishing; do not wait on it to start the RFQ.

Spool-bore finishing

Spool bores often sit at the tight end of the valve-body pattern: diameter, roundness, and interrupted port exits drive the finish call more than a generic “valve reamer” label. Keep create-hole and allowance honest on this page’s RFQ pack.

Full spool-bore finishing detail (geometry choices, ring/interrupt finishing depth, acceptance bands) lives on Hydraulic Spool Bore Finishing. Use this page’s RFQ and mark spool features on the print; do not treat this overview as a finished spool encyclopedia.

What features on a valve body usually need a PCD reamer?

Fit-critical spool and precision cavity diameters on suitable non-ferrous materials after a controlled pre-hole. Ports and non-gauge openings often stay on carbide create-hole paths. Ferrous bodies usually stay on carbide finish unless a written exception is agreed. Product: Custom PCD Reamer · RFQ: Custom Cutting Tool RFQ.

How is valve body machining different from manifold drilling?

Valve bodies are a feature pattern problem (spool, cavities, ports) with finish/ream emphasis where the gauge demands. Manifolds emphasize deep oil passages and intersecting drill paths—see Hydraulic Manifold Drilling. Do not quote them as interchangeable pages.

Where should I go for spool bore finishing detail?

Go to Hydraulic Spool Bore Finishing for allowance, runout, and PCD ream path detail. Keep the full valve-body path and RFQ here; mark spool features on the print and send via Custom Cutting Tool RFQ. This page does not replace that finishing page.

What drawing fields do you need for a valve-body RFQ?

Print with spool/cavity marked, material, hole chart with steps and interrupted notes, pre-hole/allowance, holder/runout/coolant, and sample acceptance list. Upload via Custom Cutting Tool RFQ.
